If you’ve used eZanga just recently, you would have heard that the eZanga headquarters was ambushed by “an unsuspecting bird” last Tuesday. Read if you haven’t. Fortunately, the fire remained under control and their X-Box 360 was saved!! /applause
If you haven’t seen the article about frying squirrels, go read it too. And imagine how many homes could have burned up in those 16,000+ power outages.
I do pity the animals that are dying in these incidents. I was very disturbed by the squirrel pic I posted previously. Very powerful image, but very sad at the same time. I have a cat who sleeps about 80% everyday, and that image just kept reminding me of her. 
I don’t know how we can help to reduce the rate of those incidents. I wish I could just talk to the squirrels and birds, but I can’t. But I do know that we can at least try to protect our homes from such dangerous situations….
