I’m sure everyone complains about the weather once in a while. Too hot. Too cold. Too dry. Too wet.

I spent most of my time in Pittsburgh and Atlanta for the past 4 years. If you have no idea where Pittsburgh and Atlanta is geographically, lets just say Pittsburgh is predominantly cold and Atlanta, hot.

Crazy fact #1.
From the very beginning of my college days, I learned from seniors and friends that Pittsburgh’s biggest turn-off is its shitty weather. It probably is. Usually like a warm week followed by a cold weekend, and vice versa. Nevertheless, I find the change of seasons to be quite distinct and somewhat punctual. Snow flurries in Spring? That’s the first in 4 years.

Crazy fact #2.
Summer in Atlanta has never been hotter. High 80s to 90s. Imagine living in an apartment for weeks withOUT a/c! Then, blizzard in August? Ooh.

Lets see what people around the globe have to say:

A week ago I was the moron who turned on her central air without taking the cover off.
This morning I turned the heat on. In case the condo temp dropped down below 60. The thermostat was at 63 when I woke up. Why? Because it is 41 degrees and raining outside.
Mother Earth, please make up your mind! And please don’t flood any part of my state. We had enough fun with that last May. – Thoughtful1 on WordPress

I live in So California, we had snow flurrys until 11 yesterday, and freeze warnings today, I think last weekend it was in the high 80’s, don’t like the weather here? wait a few days – Oldtimer2 on Fragile Earth

It was 83 *F here in Tampa, FL USA (Jan 7th, 07). It’s usually in the 50’s sometimes dipping into the 20s in the mornings and night….Why is it so damned hot around the world?! – Arcane Demesne on Fragile Earth

Im in england, and every bone in my body recognises that it shouldn’t be this hot.
Its 15 degrees C, the squirrels are mating, baby squirrels are STILL being born….(i feed them regularly in my garden so its VERY easy to spot new ones). The trees and flowers are budding like its early spring, Birds are nesting. Some birds that follow the warmer weathers are apparently plotting up here because its WARM enough.
BEES and WASPS are flying around, and i ain’t NEVER seen that before, not like this. – Anomic of Nihilism on Fragile Earth

Saw something strange today, Canadian Geese flying north. This usually happens in spring, not the middle of January. Anyways, despite that, we’ve been exprenceing one of the most normal winters in quite a while here in alberta. Snow, cold snaps, and typical near normal tempuratures. Only thing strange is a near constant chinook going on over the past few weeks, due to the lows hitting the BC and NW US coast. – DSO on Fragile Earth

Yesterday we had snow and today we had a thunderstorm. I thought we had crazy weather in Georgia. Here in Calgary, there are weeks when I can’t figure out what season it is (like this week). I didn’t even realize we were in for more rain, much less a thunderstorm. We were sitting here watching a rerun of CSI when we heard a clap of thunder. The cats took off, as per usual and after peering out of the living room window, we realized there was a storm over us. It looked like it had been raining for quite awhile.
It’s supposed to drop down to about 2ºC (36ºF) but it’s going to warm up to 16ºC (61ºF). Thankfully the rain and snow will be out of the picture for a few days starting tomorrow. – Teresa on ScribbleScratch

We have noticed since the end of last year that winter was delayed. And when winter started, it stayed longer than usual bringing unexpected rain and very strong winds. Summer started very suddenly after that by June which was very late also. And now we hear complaints from people in Salalah about the delay in the khareef (fall) season.
Since the heat is going up, more water evaporates from the seas and other water sources causing lack of water supplies in some parts of the world and heavy rains, floods and storms in other parts. The balance is off and we had experienced this with Gonu. The chances of that happening again is not far. –
